Wow, Nokia CEO gets salary of Rp 95 billion a year

Jakarta - As CEO of Nokia which is one of the world's leading mobile phone vendor, the salary of a Stephen Elop certainly abundant. Yes, the Canadian national men earned revenues worth 7.94 million euros from Nokia in the year 2011.

If converted to dollars, this amount reached about Rp 95 billion. Everything is in the form of cash, but also in the form of allotment of shares and so on.

As quoted from Bloomberg on Monday (3/19/2012), Elop's basic salary is actually 'only' 1.02 million euros. But he got a 473 070 euro bonus, cash compensation following his move from Microsoft and stock option allotments.

Elop who is now 48-year-old was appointed as CEO of Nokia in September 2010. Previously he was a career in software giant Microsoft with his last position as Head of Business Division.

Elop also that trigger the transition from the Nokia Symbian operating system to focus on Windows Phone handset. Month of October 2011, Nokia introduced the handset Lumia as the first Windows smartphone. Currently, several series of Lumia has been sold to global market.
